India will take on Bangladesh in their first league match of the Champions Trophy 2025 this Thursday at the Dubai International Stadium

 


New Delhi: India's first match is going to be with Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy 2025. Before this, batting superstar Virat Kohli said that he has always liked this tournament because all the 8 teams have to give their best in it. This match between India and Bangladesh will be held on Thursday at the Dubai International Stadium.

 

This is the first time the Champions Trophy is being held after 2017. Last time India lost to Pakistan in the final. While talking to Star Sports, Kohli said that this tournament is happening after a long time and he has always liked it. They say that this event is a symbol of consistency as only the top 8 ranking teams can qualify, which makes the competition even tougher.






Kohli's choice for Champions Trophy

 

Virat Kohli has so far participated in 3 editions of 50-over Champions Trophy (2009, 2013, 2017) and has scored a total of 529 runs, in which his best score is 96* (not out). He said that he likes this tournament more than T20 World Cup.

 

Kohli told that this tournament in ODI format creates pressure like T20 World Cup. He says that the 3-4 league matches that take place before the knockouts are very important. If a team does not start well, then there is a lot of pressure on it.
