"India Beats Pakistan by 6 Wickets in Thrilling Match!

On February 23, 2025, India won a thrilling match against Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This win helps India's position in Group A and makes it harder for Pakistan to move forward in the tournament.


India chased the target of 242 with a strong start. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill played great shots. But Shaheen Shah Afridi got Rohit Sharma out for 20 runs. After that, Gill and Virat Kohli made a 69-run partnership. Gill got out after scoring 46 runs.

Then, Shreyas Iyer joined Kohli, and both played aggressively against Pakistan’s bowlers. Their partnership took India closer to victory. Shreyas Iyer made a brilliant 56 runs before getting out.

In the end, Virat Kohli played an outstanding innings and completed his 51st ODI century. He led India to a 6-wicket win against Pakistan. Interestingly, this was Kohli’s first century in the ICC Champions Trophy.

   

 

Pakistan's captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and chose to bat first. Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq started well, but both openers got out early, putting Pakistan under some pressure. Then, Rizwan and Saud Shakeel played brilliantly and built a century partnership.

But as soon as Rizwan and Saud got out, Pakistan's score increased slowly. In the end, Khushdil Shah played some good shots and helped the team reach a decent total. Pakistan got all out before 50 overs and scored 241 runs.

Pakistan scored 241 runs in 49.4 overs, with Saud Shakeel (62), Mohammad Rizwan (46), and Khushdil Shah (38) being the top scorers. For India, Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets for 40 runs, while Hardik Pandya picked up 2 wickets for 31 runs. In response, India successfully chased the target, scoring 244/4 in 42.3 overs. Virat Kohli remained unbeaten with a brilliant 100*, while Shubman Gill scored 46 and Shreyas Iyer contributed 56 runs. Among Pakistani bowlers, Abrar Ahmed took 1 wicket for 28 runs, and Khushdil Shah took 1 wicket for 43 runs. India won the match convincingly by 6 wickets.
